I have found your term "post-progressive" to be very useful. I attend a church that is clearly progressive and in a small group I had some of them review your 10 or 12 part (sorry can't remember exactly the number at the moment) series on post-progressive. They were mildly dismissive (this is my assessment:) to some of it and really didn't want to spend much time on it. However, my experience has been that many educated people confuse their faith with their political/social ideology (there is overlap here but it is not 100%). I love my church and the mix of people it represents but I think a bit of "Post-Progressiveness" would help. Thanks for your thoughts you have been a good companion.

If I could, I would give this post 5 million hearts. Post-progressive probably defines a lot of us so called "homeless" Christians right now, who are tired of Babylonian Captivity of both Progressive and Conservative American Protestants in the 21st century. We live in a society where the Good News of what God has done thru Jesus Christ is second fiddle to political advancement or just window dressing and it is really, REALLY hard not to let the frustration with the church turn into bitterness. Your posts are a beacon of light to us dwelling in the land of darkness and I look forward to seeing your name in my inbox.
