Landon Saunders once described Jesus as the “greatest humanist of all time”. Jesus is our curriculum. He is what we were/are meant to be.

I cannot agree more. Unfortunately, such a large percentage of churches and their members have their moral compass aligned with church and "Christian" leaders that are point the compass not at Jesus, but at something else that sure feels ungodly as it does not embrace the life and words of Christ. It seems to be at power, supporting war and nationalism, of unregulated capitalism, the hate of government, and anything but pro-family values. Other churches are focused on prosperity, or are passive in the face of this declining society. I struggle to use the word Christian to describe myself for this reason. I don't want to be mistaken for supporting the religious right. Maybe Christian humanism is the answer.
