Mr. Beck, in my comment on part 1 I shared that the ministry God equipped me for was to recovering addict/alcoholic men. These men, whom I send regular emails to as blind carbon copies, are at various stages of their faith & sobriety journeys. I like the bicycle pedaling metaphor. I think my message formula, not intentionally, is 3 parts grace & 2 parts sanctification. These men are in the physical free world. I do agree that too much work & not enough grace makes Jack a religiously possessed man while too much grace & not enough works gets us out of touch with true intimacy with the Father. Intimacy that takes on “next level” connection is achieved through obedience to His guidance & His Spirit. Thank you for this.

"My mixture is four parts grace and one part sanctification. That seems to be the right theological cocktail for this pastoral situation. We're grace and holiness mixologists." I love your writing, Richard. Thank you so much for how you speak to my soul so often.
