But if you stop at the description, you miss the provision.

"all of them look to you

to give them their food due season.

You give it to them; they gather it;

you open your hand and they are filled with good things." (28-29)

This world is at once provided for (see the petition on our daily bread) but also dependent, contingent. Also of note, the world is not ours or determined by us: those lions not only roam but receive their food from God; elsewhere Leviathan sports in the waves.

The world snd its rhythms invite us to praise the One who has made them, and us.
