Everyone has their favorite books and moments in The Chronicles of Narnia. After The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, my favorite book in the series is The Silver Chair. And my favorite moment in The Silver Chair is Aslan's instructions to Jill before he blows her into Narnia.
This is beautiful. On a completely secular note, I remember flying airplanes and having memorized procedures to the point where I could do them blindfolded when the engine was on fire. I’ve thought about that experience a lot since then and tried to use the same practice in my personal life for things that feel really important.
I appreciate the opportunity to try the same with my spiritual life as well. Especially as someone taking the first few steps.
