Maybe one discussion therapists and patients should have near the beginning is what both of their values systems look like, since interactions can't be value-free in reality.

Why are the values of neoliberalism listed here so inherently bad or wrong? Why do they limit therapy’s ability to contribute to people’s well-being and healing (both of which, I think, are part of God’s creation mandate to humanity in Genesis 1 and 2)?

Therapy is certainly not value-less, I agree, but the values listed here I don’t see nearly as problematic as you and other critics have stated. And until I can see an actual case made, rather than just a statement or insinuation that all things neoliberal are bad or wrong in some way, I’m probably going to remain unconvinced. Maybe I’m a child of neoliberal values, but I don’t think the question should be “how do we react AGAINST these things,” but rather “how do we live for God IN these things?”.
