Jesus Himself says that, that He doesn’t do anything without the Father. This makes me question how the Trinity fits with that, though - is it Jesus’ humanness that submits and receives? Is it inherent in being the Son? If God the Father is the source of being, is Being itself, then is the divinity of the Son somehow different than the divinity of the Father? Just thinking out loud...
