Are you running into this problem with the folks in your prison Bible group? The reason why I ask is I had a conversation with someone a few decades back on the Rapture. Suggesting a different way of interpreting those scriptures caused her to go into panic. She looked at me with tears in her eyes and told me I was destroying her hope. Some believers are fragile in that area of their understanding. I learned to respect people's heart convictions.

What approach would pastors, teachers, etc., take to accomplish that?
I think a connection to the divine would alway go further than simply one’s belief even if some might be more accurate, or at least more beneficial than others
