Back during the COVID lockdowns, I followed the "Reading Barth Together" webinars done by Will Willimon and Stanley Hauerwas as they read and talked through Barth's Dogmatics in Outline.
I am not really sure what you or Hauerwas or Barth mean regarding becoming free from our subjectivity. I do not see myself as needing to be freed from my subjectivity. Is my subjectivity some kind of problem to overcome? I agree with you that Deconstruction is a highly neurotic journey but escaping yourself sounds rather neurotic as well. I do not see Christ as providing an escape from my subjectivity but rather a clarifying or aligning of my subjectivity with God/objectivity.
