Even though Paul thought that judgment day was imminent, he still didn't know exactly when it would happen, so he and the church would have to persevere for an indefinite period of time during their lifetime. I think it is the same for us today, whether we think the second coming is imminent or delayed. We must be faithful and love well during our lifetime.

Anything by Douglas Campbell on Paul will blow your socks off! And of course J.Louis Martyn’s Galatians commentary is the gold standard.
