What timing! Just this morning I was asking similar questions as I reflected on Galatians 5 and works of flesh / fruits of Spirit. If love, joy, etc. are fruits of the Spirit, does this mean that those who embody these are participating in the life/activity/fruits of the life of God, even if they aren't allegiant to Christ? Perhaps this is the remnant of "common grace" at play in humanity? I certainly know many people who exhibit many of the "fruits" but are not followers of Jesus.
