It is comforting to find myself in good company. I recently finished "Resisting Babel", John Mark Hicks, ed., followed by "Scandalous Witness" by Lee Camp. And now Mr. Lincoln and you, Dr. Beck. God is our Sovereign Creator. I find it easier each news cycle to let it go and trust Him to direct it all to His perfect purposes. As Dr Camp points out, history does indeed have a direction, a goal, and an end. Empires rise and fall, and even hostile forces play a part in this story. I learned this long ago: contrary to the illusion we insist upon, that we can control the world around us, it is God who is in control, (for which I am very thankful!) and I can rest, usually at peace, but always in trust.
