My dad was a Methodist minister, and he brought this up to me one time, the difference between soul and spirit. We didn’t really come up with an answer then, but I have wondered if the soul is the life force within us, that human breathing part of us that is alive, whereas our spirit is the spiritual side of us that is capable of listening to God and receiving Him. Really have no idea, but I find this question interesting.
