There’s two problems for me - one, not all women are mothers, or should be. So how can we value women who are single, or married without children, for whatever reason? And two, motherhood (and all work that’s unpaid) is undervalued or outright dismissed as useless in our current society. So how can we best value women (or men) who are doing unpaid work, which tends to be around caregiving, for children or older people or disabled, etc.? I don’t know the answers, but I know that God cares about and values and elevates women in His Kingdom, so that we are no less than the men.
