During Harry Truman's 1948 "whistle stop" presidential campaign, an Iowa supporter yelled "Give 'em Hell Harry" to which Truman shot back "I don't give 'em Hell, I just tell the truth and they think it's Hell.
It seems like, in simple human terms, like the law of natural consequences. You touch a hot stove and are burned; the stove is not angry with you, it is simply being what it is. It is difficult to wrap my head around! I think of God as being pleased with my obedience and sad or disappointed (or even angry) with my disobedience, because that is what I experience from other humans. But you are saying God is always pleased with us out His incomprehensible Love, Mercy and Grace, and the "feelings" are ours. Yes?

Love it!
This is exactly what I needed to read. I’ve been struggling with the idea of judgement for a long time. Thank you for explaining this so clearly.
