Similarly, Communion in worship services has always seemed too disconnected from the resurrection, which, in the Churches of Christ in which I was raised, meant we heavily emphasized the death of Jesus over the resurrection of Jesus with virtually no attention given to the birth of Jesus and minimal attention given to the life of Jesus.
