This is such a radical idea... and one that is not even spoken of in the religious right, but hardly practiced anywhere. I have such respect for the Bruderhof communities for this reason... and as this society gets so full of haves and have-nots, we can see how their lifestyle seriously mitigates the anxiety and depression that our cruel society brings. Oh the tension that comes when one sees the answer to what ails us, but lives in a society where it is easy to be lost in homelessness and despair.. and it makes one feel the need to hold on to one's resources and save incase of catastrophe... and this appears to be quite plausible.
