This is as radical and unacceptable today as it ever has been, and we see this in the way the church and those that proclaim to be a followers of Jesus distort who he was and what the message is in order to support societal structures, capitalist values, and promote personal piety that reflects more of the behaviors that Jesus criticized with the Pharisees. What would happen if Jesus was seen for who he was? It would be radical and world changing, if there were enough by then that cared.
