Wow! Tremendous series on Bulgakov and Eastern Orthodox. God as creator, panentheism, existing in God. When I read “it is impossible to appear before Christ and to see Him without loving Him”, I got it. “If God created the world then God will rescue it.” That enlivened my heart to be sure.

Every knee bowing, seeing not through a glass but face to face, scales falling from our eyes- are images that come to mind. Jesus coming in glory and humility. God will make it right. Feeling enchanted about all this right now. Alleluia.

Thank you for your efforts and work.

Very much appreciated this series on sophiology. New territory for me, but rich material to contemplate. Thank you!

No body wants there to be a "hell," but did anyone talk about it or warn of it more in the Bible than Jesus Christ? I'm not sure that one can reason their way to God. I'm not sure that God needs a "theodicy" from any of us. His Ways and Thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts . . . but we can know Him, and we can know that He is Good and that God is Love. Maybe that's all we get to know here and now until we get to see Him Face to face. Maybe?

PS: I do like and find support for a “terminal” punishment for the lost. I like what Dr. Douglas Jacoby has written on this topic. https://www.douglasjacoby.com/wp-content/uploads/Hell-Jacoby.pdf

Bulgakov’s Universalist notion is lovely and I’d like for it to be true, but I just can’t square it with what I know about scripture.

My reading plan has me in Revelation currently, and if John was recording accurately, there will be judgement and the lost will have their “lampstand removed from its place.”
