I was reading once more Eberhard Bethge's biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and was delighted to encounter again one my favorite parts of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's life.
I always wondered how Christians.. or anyone could be so silent during the Nazi regime, but I see it here in this country, and I see just how people really are... and how all my heros.. or most of them were killed very quickly for doing what is right, doing what it means to do "what Jesus would do".. and yes, Jesus was one that lost life quickly. The eye of the needle living can be deadly.

Can’t remember if you have mentioned this book previously, but Bonhoeffer’s Black Jesus by Reggie Williams is such a great exploration of this!
I think this is a large part of our issue in America, we have the head knowledge of Christ, but we don’t have the action of Christ
Interestingly, it wasn’t the Theology at union. That did absolutely nothing for him.
